Bring your WordPress site up to date, once.

WordPress sites need updating all the time, and many are not. We back yours up, update it, check it for security problems and tell you what to do next, once, for £399. You keep your site and your host.

What the update covers

  1. A backup first

    A full copy of your files and database before we change anything, so any change can be undone.

  2. The updates, tested

    WordPress itself, your theme and up to 15 plugins, updated one at a time with the site checked after each.

  3. A supported PHP version

    Moved to a version of PHP that still gets security fixes, where your host allows it. An old one is a common way in.

  4. A security and health check

    A malware scan, the list of people who can log in reviewed, and plugins and themes you no longer use removed, with your say-so.

  5. Backups, an alert and your form

    Automatic backups switched on, an alert if the site goes down, and your contact form tested from end to end, because a form that stops sending fails silently.

  6. A written report and a call

    What we updated, what we found and what to do next, as a PDF, and a 30-minute call to go through it.

What it does not include

  • Clean-up after a hack, or repairing a site that is already broken. Emergencies are quoted before we start.
  • More than 15 plugins, or a shop. A site bigger than that is quoted.
  • Premium plugin or theme licences. If an update needs your licence key, you provide it.
  • Changes to how the site looks or works, new pages, or custom code.
  • Hosting, or moving the site to another host.
  • Anything monthly. This is done once, and after it the site is yours to look after.
  • A promise that the site will never be hacked or go down. Nobody can give one.

What we need from you

  • An invitation as an administrator on your WordPress site, and access to your hosting account, by invitation. Never a password: we do not take one, and we remove our access the day we finish.
  • A site that loads today. If it does not, tell us, and we will quote the repair first.
  • Your licence keys for any paid plugin that needs one to update.

If an update breaks the site and we cannot put it right inside the price, we put everything back as it was and quote the fix before doing it.
