About teialoom
We don't hand websites over. We run them.
teialoom is a web studio working across the UK and Portugal. We build websites for small businesses, then look after them every month: changes, updates, backups and the work of keeping the site current as the business changes.
Who you deal with
Daniel Leite
I started teialoom to build websites for small businesses in the UK and Portugal and to stay with them afterwards, which is not how most of the industry is set up. Portugal and the UK are both home to me, so working across the two is not a market we entered, it is where we already are.
I lead every project and I'm the person you'll deal with when you have a question. Nothing gets retold second-hand, and nothing sits waiting for someone else to be free.
Why we started
Most websites are abandoned the day they launch.
After years of building websites at agencies, in-house and freelance, the same problem kept coming up. A website would go live, the invoice would be paid, and then nothing would happen to it for months or years.
By the time anyone looked at it again, the contact form might be broken, the prices out of date and the content no longer describing the business.
So we built it the other way round: the website goes live, and that is where the work begins. Small, regular changes that keep the site up with the business as it grows.
How we work
One point of contact, start to finish.
- 01
A direct line
No sales team, no account manager passing messages along. You speak to the person who designs and builds your site.
- 02
Changes the same day
Send a change and it is usually live the same working day. A new price, a new photo, a new opening time: no ticket queue.
- 03
Booked, not squeezed in
We take on a set number of builds at a time and give you the dates before we start, so your project gets the attention it needs.
On the name
Where the name comes from.
Loom is the machine. Teia is Portuguese for the warp: the threads held taut on it, carrying everything else. Half the name in each language, because the work is in two. Together they say the same thing: a website is not something you hand over, it is something you keep weaving, week by week, as the business changes.
See your homepage designed before you decide anything.
Thirty minutes on the phone, then we design your homepage. If you don't like it, we leave it there and you owe nothing.
